Customer Profile
So I’m playing a game with myself right now. I’m thinking about opening an online store selling enameled jewelry and fused glass. In my mind there is a convergence between the two. But as I said, for now this is only something that I’m considering theoretically. Below is an example of the kind of enameled jewelry that I think would be beautiful and my customer profile would wear. I believe this designer really has a modern edge to her work. The seller is JewelerSoul and this is on ETSY. Below is a link to her work.

Before I go any further, I have defined my target customer . A woman between 30 and recently retired. She works in a bank or as a teacher or in the financial area, is probably married, may or may not have children and lives in or close to a large city like Washington, DC, or Dallas Texas or Tampa, Fl. She has disposable income, likes to look put-together and enjoys jewelry. She wears casual clothes to work, maybe good jeans or twill pants and a blouse, but not t-shirts. She always wears earrings, usually bracelets, and frequently necklaces or pendants on a chain. Her jewelry is not matchy-matchy. Her earrings are not studs that are barely there, but usually drop from a wire. Her bracelets are not tiny chains with a small gem, but something that can be seen when her arm is visible. Maybe she wears multiple bracelets. Obviously, she likes hand-made and shops from online artisans and when available, craft shows. Casual jewelry in copper or silver is her thing.
This is as far as I’ve gotten so far with my theoretical online shop. I would appreciate your comments. Thank you.
