Travelling Together
My sister and I, and our 2 pets were travelling back from Florida to Virginia on Monday. I guess we took too long for lunch, and our ‘guys’ wanted to get going before we were ready. I’m not sure which one would drive and which would use the floor pedals. But I know they think they are in charge!
Tea Bag Folding
I’ve been reading a lot of blogs and other information on the net, and have found a new idea (for me) – tea bag folding and iris card folding. I tried one card today, and found that it will take quite a bit of time to master this craft. However, it does look like something that appeals to me. I’ll try it for a while, and if I can do one or two that are passable, I’ll post a picture here if I get that far. I have been looking for something else to do in addition to my jewelry, and this may be it. I used to sew a lot, but for some reason that no longer appeals to me. I want to see how this works out.

And So We Woke Them
And so we woke them,
Our Children eager to learn,
Eager to experience a new day,
To learn about our earth and the good people who live here.
We gave them breakfast
and dressed them in school clothes
and sent them off to school
Our children, bright, inquisitive, beautiful, loving.
Eager to learn about the good things we have done
and the wonders of our earth
created a democracy
sent a man to the moon.
They had activities after school
and pets to feed
and homework to do.
And they came home
some in caskets
some so damaged they may never heal
They learned today about darkness and murder
Evil and Inhumanity.
Can we send them to school tomorrow?
