I just read the first book in Renee George’s paranormal series of books about people who live in a small town in Missouri. Peculiar, Mo., is inhabited by people who are shape-shifters. They usually are people, but they shift at least once a month into an animal. Some are racoons, deer, bear, squirrels, birds, etc. Only people who are shape shifters are supposed to live here. Chav, a werewolf, returns to Peculiar from California where she lived with her friend, a psychic, Ambrosia Sunshine. Only shape-shifters are supposed to live in Peculiar. However, after a short time in Peculiar, Chav sends a message to her friend, Ambrosia Sunshine, a pyschic, asking Ambrosia to come and help her search for her older brother who disappeared mysteriously and suddenly. Only shape-shifters are allowed to live in Peculiar, and Ambrosia, who does not know about shape-shifters, feels very unwelcome. The rest of the story is the search for Chav’s brother along with other people who have mysteriously disappeared over the years. The ending is somewhat gruesome and totally fitting with the story and the shape-shifters. If you want a fun read and are willing to suspend belief for a while, I recommend it highly. I’m on to the second book in the series – “Thank you for not shifting”.

Finally, I’m back to doing!
New black Onyx Bracelet
I’ve finally returned to making jewelry. I’ve been neglecting this for a few weeks while I’ve been working on my house. I really miss doing the jewelry, and after a while, when I don’t do it, I get down. It is a great love, and I would do it even if I did not sell it. This is a fun bracelet to make and looks good on my wrist. It molds to fit the wrist, so it stays in place. There is no clasp.
So now all I have to do is get my web site updated with some new things.
Thanks for any comments .
Back in Action
So, I’ve decided to really try to try to set up my website for sales as well as to show off the jewelry I make. I joined a group called ’30 sales in 30 days.’. Today is the first day and my task for today is to decide on 3 actions I will take towards this goal.
The first and second actions are easy to decide:. First I am going to add something new to my website every day. A lot of the items on the website are sold, and I usually only make one of a kind items. Second I am going to update this blog with what I added and I am going to ask my followers here and on Facebook if they would share the item with their followers. When I add an item to my website, it automatically is added to my Facebook page.
Not all updates will be about jewelry. I still like to cook and show pictures of my grandchildren.
A little self-promotion here:. My shop is

Dogs and Granchildren
Dogs and Granchildren are always pals
My annual Winter vacation is almost over. I love it here in Florida, but by this time I am anxious to go home and see my beautiful grandchildren. They all change so much in just a few months. I miss them and can’t wait to see them. I’ve decided that next year when I come here, I will start a project with them. This year I tried to take pictures of Bradley’s (my dog) friends. I can print out the pictures and send them so they can put them in a scrapbook I will give them for Christmas. I hope they will enjoy the project. I know I will.
Blackberry Season on the Skyline Drive in Virginia
Enjoying Blackberry Cobbler & Blackberry Ice Cream
A great time was had by all of us as we went to Skyland on the Skyline Drive in Virginia for our annual Blackberry Cobbler Dessert. Lunch at Skyland was as always very good, and the cooler weather at that altitude was very refreshing. Unfortunatley, the new chef at Skyland chose not to have blackberry cobbler on the lunch dessert menu. However, our very helpful waitress told us that the Big Meadows Lodge had it on their dessert menu. So after lunch we drove the 9 miles to Big Meadows and had the wonderful Blackberry Cobbler with Blackberry Ice Cream. Did I mention that we only do this once a year! It was great fun, and we will do it again next year, probably at Big Meadows Lodge because its closer to home.
